The process.
The entire evaluation typically consists of three appointments: an intake, a testing, and a feedback. During the intake, I will ask you questions about your child’s background, history, presenting concerns, and your goals for evaluation. I use this information to plan the assessment. After the assessment, we meet for feedback session(s) to discuss the results, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations. Intake and feedback appointments can be conducted via telehealth.

The testing.
I complete neuropsychological, psychological, and psycho-educational evaluations. The assessment lasts 2-6 hours, completed during 1 or 2 sessions. I will assess your child’s functioning across numerous cognitive domains including intellectual functioning, language, visual spatial skills, attention, executive functioning, processing, motor skills, memory, and academic functioning. I will also ask parents to complete several questionnaires. For some cases, I will also gather questionnaire’s from teachers.

Insurance and payment.
My rates are comparable to other New York City and Brooklyn based pediatric neuropsychologists. In my private practice, I do not contract with insurance companies as an “in-network” provider. I will provide you with a detailed receipt which you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. One-half of the fee is due on the date of the assessment, with the other half being due prior to the feedback session and receipt of the report.

On the date of the evaluation, ensure your child brings any glasses, hearing aids, communication devices, etc. All medications should be taken as prescribed on the date of the evaluation.
